Terrytown Library Closed for Extensive Renovations

Look for big changes at the Terrytown Library.

The library is closed now for extensive renovations. But when it reopens, the new and improved look will include a more modern design on the inside and out. There will be more computers and a special section for teens. We are adding a new reading area so users can come to the library, get comfortable, and stay a while. More Spanish-language resources are also on the way.

Councilman Chris Roberts provided the funding for renovations to the 35-year-old building and the nearby Golden Age Center. Along with the new gym, the three buildings will be a valuable part of the Terrytown community.

Until it reopens, users can go to the West Bank Regional Library in Harvey or the Gretna Library for library services (click on links for info and directions).
