The Jefferson Parish Library will host a Stieg Larsson Book Club for adults this summer as part of its Summer Reading Program.
Stieg Larsson (1954-2004) was a Swedish writer and journalist. Prior to his sudden death of a heart attack in November 2004, Larsson completed three detective novels in his trilogy known as the “millennium series.” All were published posthumously; The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Girl Who Played with Fire and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest. To date, more than 20 million copies of Larsson’s novels have been sold in 41 countries. He was the second best-selling author in the world in 2008.
Club members will read one novel and view the corresponding movie during each summer month.
Linda Molinario, a librarian who works at the East Bank Library, will moderate discussions for the book club. All activities are free of charge and open to the public. |
