		Harahan Library, the first library built by the parish, opened in 1957 under librarian Celia Moore. It is the oldest library in the system.

	Directions	It is a quaint neighborhood branch located on Soniat Avenue behind the Tastee Donuts shop across Jefferson Hwy from St. Rita's Catholic Church and School. The Harahan Branch Library may be reached by public transportation via the Kenner Local Bus.
