Grand
Isle Library is a small library responding to the
needs of Grand Isle's residents and tourists.
Library cards are available free to
Jefferson Parish residents,
and guest cards are available to non-residents.
New Orleans Public Library card holders in good standing,
through our reciprocal
agreement with NOPL, are entitled to
full Jefferson Parish Library privileges with their
card, at no charge.

Cybermobile at Library Headquarters

Grand Isle Library
reopened February 1st in its temporary "Cybermobile"
home, on loan from Muncie (IN) Public Library at the
same location as before, 2757-1 La. Hwy. 1, Grand Isle. The Cybermobile is equipped with computers with
internet and library database access.
Look for
Garfield and friends and come aboard!

The Cybermobile
was joined by "Gertie," the 32-foot bookmobile
donated by Waukegan Public Library which arrived at
Jefferson Parish Library headquarters in late March.

Gertie's Arrival at Jefferson Parish
Library Headquarters
Gertie was at
her new home in Grand Isle for the Grand Reopening
Ceremony and Ribbon-Cutting, held Thursday, June 7,
2006, with library representatives and local Grand
Isle dignitaries in attendance.
