GRETNA TEMPORARY FACILITY CLOSED
TO MAKE WAY FOR NEW LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION

The Gretna Library Temporary Facility is closed so workers can finish building the new Gretna Library. Workers removed the temporary facility to build the new parking lot.

Construction on the new Gretna Library will finish soon. Until it opens, users can go to the West Bank Regional Library in Harvey (click on link for info and a map). If you have checked out books or other items from the Gretna Library Temporary Facility, please return them to the West Bank Regional Library.

TERRYTOWN LIBRARY CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS

The Terrytown Library is closed for extensive renovations.

The new and improved look will include a more modern design
on the inside and out. There will be more computers
and a special section for teens. We are adding
a new reading area so users can come to the library, get comfortable, and stay a while. More Spanish-language
resources are also on the way.

Councilman Chris Roberts provided the funding
for renovations to the 35-year-old building and
the nearby Golden Age Center. Along with the new gym,
the three buildings will be a valuable part
of the Terrytown community.

The library renovations are expected to take
four months. Until it reopens, users can go to the
West Bank Regional Library in Harvey
(click on link for info and a map) for library services. If you have checked out books or other items from the Terrytown Library, please return them to the West Bank Regional Library.
